An automatic fire alarm system is designed to detect presence of fire by monitoring accidental/ incidental/ environmental changes associated with combustion.
Generally any FAS is classified as either automatically actuated, manually actuated, or both. Automatic fire alarm systems are intended to notify the building occupants to evacuate in the event of a fire or other emergency, report the event to an off-premises location in order to summon emergency services, to prepare the structure and associated systems to control the spread of fire and smoke. Conventional as well as Analogue types can be used as per the need.
Fire Suppression systems use combination of dry chemicals and/or wet agents to suppress equipment fires. They have become necessity to several industries to help control damage and loss of equipment/building/life.
Public Address System (PA system) is an electronic amplification system with a mixer, amplifier and loudspeakers to reinforce any sound source. For example, a person giving speech, a DJ playing music. PA system helps in distributing the sound throughout a venue or building.
Simple PA systems are often used in small venues such as school auditoriums, churches, and small bars. PA systems with a larger number of speakers are widely used in institutional and commercial buildings, to pronounce announcements or declare state of emergency / calling.
Intercom systems, which are often used in schools, hotels, commercial setup, also have microphones / speakers in each room so that the occupants can reply to the central office. This can also be interconnected with video integration to make communication / education process effective.
Building Management System (BMS) is a computer-based control system installed in buildings to control and monitor any building's mechanical and electrical equipments such as ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems and security systems. A BMS has both software and hardware. The software program, configured in an hierarchical manner, can be proprietary, using such protocols as C-bus, Profibus et al. Modern BMS integrate using Internet protocols and open standards such as DeviceNet, SOAP, XML, BACnet, LonWorks and Modbus. BMS helps to control the whole building remotely, sitting anywhere at any time.
The key components include: Controllers, Supervisors, Networks, Field Devices, System Architecture, Utilities Management, Monitoring and Targeting, Alarm Monitoring, Remote Monitoring, System Back-up, 24 / 7 Back-up, Condition Based Maintenance
